All books are offered subject to prior sale. All of our books are described accurately, packed carefully and shipped promptly. Satisfaction Guaranteed: any book may be returned for any reason within 30 days of receipt for a full refund. You may email or phone your order or inquiry.
We accept payment by PayPal (arthur@roundtablebooks.com), Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, check and Money Order. If you elect to pay by check or money order, please email or phone first to reserve the book, we will hold it for you pending payment.

Shipping: Media Mail (in USA only): $3.95 for the first book (weighing 2.2 pounds, 1 kg, or less), and $1.50 for each additional book. Books weighing more than one kg or for international shipment will be charged actual postage.

Priority Mail (in USA): $6.95 and up.
Express mail (in USA): $24.50 and up.
International Priority Mail: $32.95 and up.

I've done my best to state clearly and truthfully the condition of each and every book I have listed on-line. Sometimes, however, books change condition insofar as they sit on the shelf for a long time, get moved by customers, get taken to and from book fairs, and so on. Most orders will ship within one to two business days, but often times, they will go out on the same day as they are ordered. I've based my shipping costs on the assumption of books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized (extra thick, extra long, etc.), I may contact you to let you know that extra shipping is required. Bubble mailers and boxes will be expertly and securely wrapped and monitored. Please contact us if there is anything extra or different you need us to do.

Credit cards currently acceptable include: Visa, MasterCard and American Express. We also accept personal checks, PayPal, money orders, and Cashier's Checks.

Return policy;
If for some reason you don't like your purchase or it arrives somehow damaged, or if it doesn't get to you at all, you might be eligible for a refund within 30 days of the estimated delivery date. If you've changed your mind about a book that you've ordered, please contact me and I'll respond within two business days.

Book Condition: In common with other booktraders we use the following abbreviations to describe books:
Fine: as new.
VG: one or two signs of having been read, but no serious blemishes, generally very good condition.
Good: o.k., but not very good, signs of ageing or fading or other damage (usually described).
Fair: showing definite signs of wear and tear.
Reading copy: It's all there and it's legible, but that's about all we guarantee.
DJ: dust jacket (if it's not mentioned there isn't one).

Catalogue descriptions are necessarily very brief. Please do contact us should you want further details of any book before purchase, or for advice on our stock.

* Na uw bestelling ontvangen u en Elettra een bevestiging per e-mail. (Controleer ook uw SPAM box!!)
* Uw bestelling/order wordt met de grootste zorg behandeld en na ontvangst van uw betaling verzonden, uw bestelling wordt 14** dagen gereserveerd, is uw betaling dan niet voldaan, hierna vervalt uw bestelling, voor ons heeft snelheid niet de hoogste prioriteit, wel dat de bestelling in goede orde en op het juiste adres afgeleverd wordt.
* Boeken die nog niet verschenen zijn (Uitgeverij), worden bij bestelling zonder voorbericht in nota gehouden.
* Wij handelen deze bestelling rechtstreeks met u af. In de e-mail staan de naam, het adres, de woonplaats en het telefoonnummer van Elettra vermeld.

**Naar vaste klanten wordt op rekening geleverd (vanaf min. 1 jaar) en op de voor hen bekende wijze.
* Bij boekwerken is per boek of zending: boek/boeken/DVD, de porto/verpakking verschuldigd, deze wordt bij iedere boek/zending apart bepaald, echter boven de 75,00 euro wordt de zending aangetekend verzonden, deze kosten worden doorberekend.
* De Koper betaald de verzendkosten, tenzij anders overeen gekomen.
Indien ondanks onze zorgvuldige verpakkingen etc. van boeken of andere goederen er beschadigingen tijdens het transport zijn ontstaan, zijn wij niet aansprakelijk voor de daaruit voortvloeiende schade.

Le Flaneur prefers and strives to remain as a physical establishment rather than an online seller, and its loyalty lies with frequenters and chance visitors. Thus, in principle, books are cheaper in the shop, and a select and increasing part of the collection is not available for distance selling. Le Flaneur also recommends to buy local, physical, and loyal, since he believes every act including the act of buying (or not buying for that matter) is political which deserves consideration and reflection.

Books you inquire and/or order are reserved up to a week and then relisted. Orders can be picked up from the shop, preferably with prior notice.

We send worldwide if we really have to, but we encourage you base your decisions on total costs including "externalities", rather than jumping to the cheapest option, since it never is.

There is no clear legal global rule for returns; but as a rule of thumb we don't accept returns, as we abstain from engaging any discussion over the vague and incredibly personal concept of satisfaction, and from contributing to needless entropy in personal and universal levels. We believe in goodwill and presume people has the potential to act responsibly and reasonably. If you think what you received fails to match its description, you keep the book and get your money back.

A note on description: Page numbers indicate numbered pages. Please always keep in mind the age of books when checking book conditions. Books are thoroughly checked and depicted in as much detail as possible (thus the shorter the depiction, the better the book). If there is no depiction, which is the case with some of the earliest additions, please ask before ordering. Also feel free to ask for photos when in doubt.

We also BUY "worthy titles" for which you cannot find room at home. Literature, history and philosophy titles in several languages are most welcome.

* Na betaling worden de boeken zo snel mogelijk verzonden.

* Het verzenden van de bestelde boeken is voor risico van de verkoper. Verkoper behoudt zich het recht voor de goederen - in uitzonderingsgevallen - te verzekeren en/of aangetekend te verzenden. De kosten hieruit voortvloeiend worden doorberekend aan de koper. Overigens wordt in deze gevallen eerst contact opgenomen met de koper.
