Terms of Sale

All transactions according to trade conditions of the Dutch Antiquarian Booksellers Association (NVvA), which stipulate a.o. that the books remain property of the seller until full payment.

Postage: € 6,90 (Netherlands), € 8,50 (Belgium), € 9,80 (Germany), Europe € 9,80 (up to 1 kg.), World € 19,80 (up to 1 kg.)
Further according to weight.

Returns, after consultation, within 14 days after receipt.
Payment methods: by Bank transfer, Paypal, and Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard).


Verkoopvoorwaarden

Volgens voorwaarden van de NVvA, die o.a. bepalen dat de goederen het eigendom blijven van de verkoper tot volledige betaling.
Boeken die niet aan de verwachting voldoen kunnen, na overleg, binnen 14 dagen na ontvangst worden teruggestuurd.
Betaling binnen 30 dagen op bank, of met credit card (Visa, Mastercard).

Porto: € 6,90 (Nederland), € 8,50 (België), € 9,80 (Duitsland), overige landen naar gewicht.

All prices in U.S. dollars. Payment by PayPal. Customers within New York State will be charged the sales tax applicable in their locality.

Books may be returned within ten days if unsatisfactory.

Shipping Terms:
Prompt worldwide shipping - same-day on weekdays. We never use Jiffy bags; we ship most books in new boxes. All shipments outside the U.S. are sent by air.

United States:
Media mail: $3.75
Priority mail: Most books $10.00

Canada and Mexico:
Books that will fit in a Priority Mail flat rate envelope or small flat rate box: $20.00 or less.

Other countries:
Books that will fit in a Priority Mail flat rate envelope or small flat rate box: $24.00 or less.
If the book you order is not being sent by domestic media mail, and is too large or heavy to fit in a flat rate envelope or small flat rate box, we may have to contact you to let you know that an extra shipping charge will be needed.

We pack securely in sturdy cardboard cartons and insure all shipments. Books shipped when payment received. Shipments to the U.S.:  Tariffs on any items published outside the U.S. are payable by the recipient.

Methods of Payment Accepted: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Paypal, international money order in $US or $CAD, cash.

Return Policy: If your book was misdescribed, your purchase price, including shipping, will be fully refunded when we receive the book back. If you wish to return your book for any other reason within 30 days of receipt, we will refund book price (not shipping) when book is safely returned to us. Please contact us before returning your book.

Orders can be placed by mail, fax or email.
All books are complete and in good condition unless otherwise noted. Books can be inspected on appointment.
Prices are in Euros.
For international orders and orders over Euro 50,00 payment in advance is required.
Bank transfers within the 'Euro zone' are free of charge. Postage and bank charges (if any) will be charged at cost. Payment after receipt of order confirmation (or invoice) by Dutch bankgiro (IBAN and BIC); in case of payment by cheque or money order, please add Euro 15.00 for bank charges (except for cheques drawn on Dutch banks).
Books may be returned well packaged and fully prepaid wthin one week after receipt, and after notification.

Uw retourrecht voorwaarden
Een consument mag de koop van producten zonder opgave van redenen binnen 14 werkdagen na aankoop van het product ontbinden. Indien de consument van deze ontbindingsmogelijkheid gebruik maakt, dient hij dat volgens de op de website van Boekhandel De Slegte beschreven retourprocedure aan Boekhandel De Slegte te melden en het product binnen 14 werkdagen na de datum van ontbinding op zijn kosten aan Boekhandel De Slegte te retourneren. Het door de consument betaalde aankoopbedrag zal binnen 30 dagen na de ontbinding aan de consument worden terugbetaald. Ontbinding is niet mogelijk ten aanzien van producten die beschadigd zijn, zich niet meer in de originele en onbeschadigde verpakking bevinden, gebruikt zijn of voor verkoop ongeschikt geworden zijn.
Boekhandel De Slegte is gerechtigd om geretourneerde producten die niet meer verkeren in de staat waarin deze aan de consument zijn geleverd, dus inclusief originele verpakking te weigeren en om een eventuele waardevermindering en/of retourverzendkosten op het terug te betalen bedrag in mindering te brengen.
