- The Festival of Britain 1951. An Anthology of Verse & Prose

Ilfracombe, Arthur H. Stockwell, 1951. 88pp. 20x13, cloth, dw. Very good in similar dw, now protected. 'A tribute to the Mother Country in the spirit of the Festival' - the quality of the verse can only be politely described as mixed and of the type so beautifully satirised by Flanders and Swann, but nonetheless a fascinating insight into contemporary attitudes and reactions to the festival. Uncommon.
