Reference work of military interest, the first edition, a scarce volume. Volume I. Containing a series of biographies, anecdotes of battles, poetry, &c. in relation to the military profession. Inscribed to recto front blank leaf 'Presented to Sophia Jackson by her Father, the compiler of the volume, dated November 15th 1827. Rebound in full straight up grain morocco binding with gilt tooling to spine, gilt to edges. Externally smart with shelf wear, rubbed to back strip and extremities, joints rubbed, front joint with minor cracking to tail. Neat inscription by the author to recto front blank leaf, dated 1827. Internally, firmly bound. Light minor spotting to odd leaf, pages otherwise generally bright and clean. Good . Ill.: None. Good .
