Edinburgh, Not Stated, 1689. Leather. A very scarce work discussing the 11th April in the 1689 Convention of Estates, determining the settlement of the Scottish throne. A very scarce work. Collated, complete. ESTC citation number R232191. However this ESTC listing states the date as '21 of June', whereas this copy states to the title 'eleventh day of April&apos. With twenty-three blank leaves to the rear. Rebound in a quarter morocco binding. An interesting work on the 1689 Convention of Estates, a pivotal point in the merging of England and Scotland. The Convention was sat between the 16th March and the 5th June 1689. The Convention determined the settlement of the Scottish throne, following the 1688 deposition of James VII after the Glorious Revolution. This work recounts the Convention that took place on the 11th April 1689. Rebound in a quarter morocco binding with paper to the boards. Externally, smart Minor marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age-toned and generally clean with the odd mark. Small tape repair to the margin of the reverse of leaf A1. Very Good . Ill.: None. Very Good .
