La legatura non è firmata, ma per caratteristiche tecniche e di gusto può essere attribuita a Joseph Thouvenin.

Clark was a prolific author - The Bournemouth Songbook attributes 67 other titles to him although his final tally runs to at least 72, including fifteen volumes about Shakespeare, nine on Dickens, seven about the British Empire, a raft of anti-Communist political tracts and, of course, 21 songbooks of verse so determined that it is impossible not to harbour a certain respect for his dogged pursuit of the rhyme. Once described as Devon';s McGonigal. The book is bound in blue cloth with gilt titling on the front board.The authors calling card is pasted on the front pastedown and there are several stamps of Home and Abroad Publishing Company - perhaps to whom it was submitted for publication. About 440 pages of typed text with each chapter individually numbered There are many annotations and corrections to suggest it is a proof copy and written under the title is Anti-semitic in places ! Ed, It has been well used with prelims showing creases and the backstrip is split from the front board toward the top. Mull is showing at the prelims.Endpaper intact.
