Barbier IV, 241 f: Van der Linde, 63: Hertzberger Cat. 150 (Wolf coll.), 334 'The Original edition (v.d. Linde only mentions the edition Cologne, 1673). Author of this curious little work is Jean Baptiste Stouppe, Lieutenant of a Swiss regiment in French service during the war with the Netherlands. It was he who handed the invitation of Condé to Spinoza in 1673... Pp. 91 - 95, 152 seq. of this work deal with Spinoza about whom is said: "Cést un homme qui est né Juif, qui s'appelle Spinola [sic!] qui n'a point abjuré la Religion des Juifs, ny embrassé la Religion Chrêtienne; aussi il est tres-méchant Juif, et n'est pas meilleur Chrêstien.": : Comp. Willems, 1878: on the Cologne reprint.: Exhibition Catalogue Herzog August Bibliothek [1977], comp. item 60: '...Stoppa, ... a Swiss Calvinist who had lived in England under Cromwell, moved to France upon the death of the Lord Protector; there he won the graces of Louis XIV. He took part in the French war of conquest in the Netherlands and wrote during this war the propagandistic, anti-Dutch book 'La Religion des Hollandois', in which he attacked the diversity of philosophical and religious parties in Holland, particularly, however, Spinozism.': Freudentahl, pp. 47 - 56: 'Ein Prediger namens Hommel griff Stouppe aufs heftigste deshalb an, dass er, ein Calvinist, gegen ein calvinistisches Land die Waffen trage.': Inst. We gaan er van uit dat de klant begrijpt dat het door ons aangeboden antiquarische materiaal vaak een hoge ouderdom heeft bereikt en kan vergeleken worden met de oudere mens of de oudere aardappel: met rimpels en gebreken van diverse aard. Roestvlekjes, verzuring, waterschade, scheurtjes, stempels, defecten aan band en papier worden in de regel allemaal vermeld. Voorwaarden bij de verkoop volgens de richtlijnen opgesteld door NVvA en ILAB. Prijzen excl. btw [Nederland en Europa] en porto, behoudens houders van een BTW registratie nummmer. Porto tegen kostprijs. Normaalgesproken levering met factuur in het geval van bekende relaties, veelal wordt gevraagd de factuur bij vooruitbetaling te voldoen. Oudere stukken worden aangetekend en verzekerd verstuurd. Koeriersdiensten Fedex, DHL etc. mogelijk op verzoek, kosten voor de kopende partij. Boeken etc. blijven onvervreemdbaar eigendom van B.M.Israel BV antiquariaat totdat volledige betaling heeft plaatsgevonden. Retourzendingen en teruggave recht: binnen 14 dagen wanneer het artikel niet voldoet aan de verwachting of afwijkt van de beschrijving. Graag in dit geval uw bericht omtrent terugzending. Kosten voor en risico van terugzending en verzekering voor de kopende partij. Retourgezonden materiaal dient ons te bereiken in dezelfde staat als die waarin ze werd verzonden.

Al onze boeken zijn in goede tweedehands staat, tenzij anders omschreven. Kleine onvolkomenheden (zoals naam op titelblad of kleine leessporen) worden niet altijd vermeld. Storende beschadigingen, aantekeningen, uitgebreide opdrachten etc. vermelden we doorgaans wel. Informeer bij twijfel naar de staat van het boek.
Verzenden Nederland
Brievenbuspost versturen we via PostNL.
Pakketpost versturen we standaard met DHL.
Andere verzendopties zijn mogelijk op aanvraag.
Voor alle verzendopties gelden de verzendvoorwaarden van het gekozen postbedrijf.
Mocht een verzending mislukken door toedoen of nalatigheid van de ontvanger (denk bijvoorbeeld aan het niet tijdig ophalen van een pakket bij een afhaalpunt) dan zijn voor een volgende verzendpoging opnieuw verzendkosten verschuldigd.
Verzenden buitenland
Bij verzending naar het buitenland kiezen we per geval de beste verzendmethode. Verzending met onder andere PostNL, DHL, Kiala en DPD is mogelijk. Kopers met een voorkeur voor een verzendbedrijf/methode kunnen die melden.
We brengen geen extra verpakkings- of administratiekosten in rekening.
