Terms of Sale

Shipping is charged extra at cost and the amount will vary according to the destination, the shipping method and the weight of the books ordered. Please advise us how you would prefer your books shipped at the time of ordering. If ordering from within the UK the cost is likely to be about GBP5.50, and books will usually arrive in 1-3 working days.
If ordering from Europe airmail will be about GBP12.00 - airmail will usually arrive in 3-7 days.
If ordering from North America, or anywhere outside Europe, airmail is likely to cost about GBP18.00 - airmail generally takes about a week, but customs may cause delays.
If you would like to know the exact postage charge, please contact us, and we will let you know before processing your order.
Books are sent by the next available postal collection following receipt of payment. We send mail most week days.
Card payments can be accepted by Visa, MasterCard,AmEx & Maestro. Paypal transfers are accepted to our registered e-mail address (which is books@aucott.co.uk). If you wish to pay by bank transfer please contact us for details.
We also accept payment by Sterling cheques and Sterling International Money Orders (made payable to 'Aucott & Thomas'), or by Euro notes, and US or Australian dollar bills. Non Sterling cheques are not accepted.
All books are published in London, except where stated. Customers are invited to contact us if they would like more information about a particular book - photographs are available for all our books. We always try to be accurate. If an error in description is made, we will refund the full price but please contact us before returning the book.

Payment
We accept payment by credit card; i.e.: Mastercard, VISA, AMEX, Switch or Delta. If you wish to pay by cheque the payment needs to be in GBP(£)- UK Sterling. If payment is in any other currency an extra £12.00 needs to be added to the list price to cover our Bank's conversion charges.
Please ensure that we have your card number, expiry date and name and address that pertains to the card. We will also need the 3 digit code from the reverse of your card. Customers will realise that credit card payments are processed at this end in UK pounds sterling and debited to their own accounts at the current rate of exchange.
Return of goods
Every care has been taken with the description of all books listed. However if you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase. You may return the books promptly for a full refund of the invoice value. We must insist you contact us immediately to let us know of your intentions.
Postage
Postage will be charged extra; for both home and abroad deliveries.
For considerations of time and safety, please contact us. All books are checked, and carefully packed before despatch.
Packages sent to U.K. addresses will go first-class unless otherwise agreed.
Packages sent overseas can be sent by surface-mail or airmail.
If packages are sent via airmail, the package can be insured at the customers expense. Please contact us to discuss your needs.

Alle boeken zijn compleet en de conditie van het boek wordt als volgt aan geduid:
Gaaf = als nieuw;
Zeer goed = geen noemenswaardige gebreken, ook geen naam op schutblad;
Goed = lichte gebreken zoals: minimale leesvouwen, lichte beschadiging omslag, verkleuring, naam op schutblad etc.;
Redelijk = duidelijk gelezen en gebruikt exemplaar: vouwen, onderstreping, schuingelezen, ezelsoren, etc.

Alle conditionele gebreken worden altijd beschreven.

Prijzen zijn netto, in euro en exclusief porto.

Geleverde boeken blijven eigendom van de verkoper totdat volledige betaling van het factuurbedrag heeft plaats gevonden.

Het verzenden van de bestelde boeken is voor risico van de verkoper.

Elke aankoop kan binnen 14 dagen na ontvangst, zonder opgaaf van reden, aan verkoper retour gezonden worden. Wel dient u aan Antiqbook door te geven dat u een zending retour zendt, waarna restitutie van het aankoopbedrag (niet de verzendkosten) volgt. Is de retourzending een gevolg van een onvolledige beschrijving dan wordt het aankoopbedrag inclusief verzendkosten en retourporto terugbetaald. Retourzendingen dienen verkoper te bereiken in dezelfde staat als waarin ze aan koper verzonden werden. Het risico van retourzendingen is nadrukkelijk voor de afzender.

Prijzen zijn netto, in Euro en inclusief omzetbelasting. Verzendkosten op basis van kostprijs zijn voor rekening van de koper, evenals de eventuele kosten voor verzekerd en/of aangetekend verzenden. Bij waardevolle boeken behouden wij ons het recht voor de bestelling aangetekend te verzenden. Verzending geschiedt voor risico van de verkoper.

Geleverde boeken blijven eigendom van de verkoper totdat volledige betaling van het factuurbedrag heeft plaats gevonden. Alle boeken zijn volledig beschreven en in goede staat tenzij anders vermeld. Kleine gebreken, zoals naam op schutblad of lichte beschadigingen die normaal zijn voor gebruikte boeken, zijn niet altijd aangegeven. Elke aankoop kan binnen 7 dagen na ontvangst aan verkoper retour gezonden worden; wel gaarne de door ons gemaakte portokosten vergoeden en een voorafgaande email wordt op prijs gesteld. Bij een retourzending ten gevolge van een onvolledige beschrijving vergoeden wij de retourporto. Het risico van retourzendingen is nadrukkelijk voor de afzender.
