Coming of age during the Weimar Republic, he had his first successes as a playwright in Munich and moved to Berlin in 1924, where he wrote The Threepenny Opera with Elisabeth Hauptmann and Kurt Weill and began a life-long collaboration with the composer Hanns Eisler. Being long-immersed in Marxian thought and practice during his formative years Brecht eventually fled Germany in 1933 as the Nazis rose to power and settled first in Scandinavia then in Southern California. In 1947 he was surveilled upon by the H.U.A.C. and was forced to flee again. Sometimes, however, books change condition insofar as they sit on the shelf for a long time, get moved by customers, get taken to and from book fairs, and so on. Most orders will ship within one to two business days, but often times, they will go out on the same day as they are ordered. I've based my shipping costs on the assumption of books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized (extra thick, extra long, etc.), I may contact you to let you know that extra shipping is required. Bubble mailers and boxes will be expertly and securely wrapped and monitored. Please contact us if there is anything extra or different you need us to do.

· Alle boeken zijn compleet en in goede staat. Kleine gebreken, zoals naam op schutblad of lichte beschadigingen zijn niet altijd aangegeven.
· Prijzen zijn netto, in euro en inclusief btw. Kosten van verpakking, levering, vervoer, verzekering, in- en uitvoerrechten of andere rechten of belastingen, een en ander voor zover zulke kosten zoals bijvoorbeeld de btw niet al in de verkoopprijs zijn begrepen, bank- en chequekosten worden tegen kostprijs doorberekend. U ontvangt vooraf een opgave van het totaalbedrag per e-mail.
· Boeken worden geleverd tegen vooruitbetaling. Aan instellingen, bibliotheken en bekende klanten kan eventueel met een factuur worden geleverd.
· Betaling kan geschieden via bank- of giro-overschrijving of via een Visa of Mastercard creditcard.
Betaling per bank-of giro-overschrijving door koper moet geschieden binnen 14 dagen na ontvangst van de nota.
· Geleverde boeken blijven onze eigendom tot volledige betaling van de factuur heeft
plaatsgevonden.
· Het verzenden van de bestelde boeken is voor ons risico. Wij behouden ons het recht voor de goederen te verzekeren en/of aangetekend te verzenden. De kosten, die hieruit voortvloeien worden doorberekend aan de koper.
· Elke aankoop kan binnen zeven dagen na ontvangst, zonder opgaaf van redenen, aan ons retour worden gezonden, waarna restitutie van het aankoopbedrag met uitzondering van de verzendkosten volgt.
· Is de retourzending een gevolg van onvolledige beschrijving, dan wordt het aankoopbedrag inclusief verzendkosten en retourporto gerestitueerd. Retourzendingen moeten ons in dezelfde staat bereiken als waarin ze aan koper werden verzonden. Het risico van retourzendingen is nadrukkelijk voor de afzender.
· Bestellingen worden afgehandeld in volgorde van binnenkomst.
