Armstrong was born in 1850, was educated at Harrow and Exeter College, Oxford, and for some 10 years after 1880 was art critic to several newspapers, such as the Pall Mall Gazette, the Manchester Guardian, and the old Manchester Examiner. He made his mark in the art world, and was consulted by students and collectors, becoming an authority especially on Dutch 17th-century and English 18th-century painting. Several fine collections, of which that of Mr. S. Joseph, was one, were mainly formed under his advice. In 1892, he succeeded the late Henry Doyle as Director of the National Gallery of Ireland in Dublin, which his predecessor had reorganized and developed; and in this post Armstrong remained for over 20 years, his services recognized by a knighthood in 1899. Der Anbieter handelt mit gebrauchten/antiquarischen Bücher, Tonträgern, Filmen etc., die auf Grund Ihres Alters Gebrauchsspuren aufweisen können, die im jeweiligen Verkaufspreis bereits angemessen mindernd berücksichtigt sind. Die Waren werden insofern ausschließlich in den in unserem jeweils aktuellen Online-Katalog angegebenen Ausführungen geliefert. Alle im Katalog angebotenen Werke sind - wenn nicht gesondert angegeben - vollständig und dem Alter entsprechend im allgemeinen gut erhalten. Auf kleinere Mängel des Erhaltungszustandes, wie Stempel oder Namen auf Titelblättern, geringe Beschädigungen des Einbandes sowie einzelne Anmerkungen oder einzelne Unterstreichungen, wird in der Regel nicht besonders hingewiesen.
Der Käufer hat die Ware auf Vollständigkeit, Transportschäden, offensichtliche Mängel, Beschaffenheit und deren Eigenschaften unverzüglich zu untersuchen. Nationally and at the county level the impact and significance of the wars can hardly be over-stated: the conflict involved our ancestors fighting one another, on and off, for a period of nine years; almost every part of Lancashire witnessed warfare of some kind at one time or another, and several towns in particular saw bloody sieges and at least one episode characterised as a massacre.Nationally the wars resulted in the execution of the king; in 1651 the Earl of Derby himself was executed in Bolton in large measure because he had taken a leading part in the so-called massacre in that town in 1644. Over the ensuing centuries this period has been described variously as a rebellion, as a series of civil wars, even as a revolution.Lancashire's role in these momentous events was quite distinctive, and relative to the size of its population particularly important. Berlage geniet nog altijd een brede publieke belangstelling. De Bazel echter is alleen bij ingewijden bekend gebleven als de architect van landelijke villa's in het Gooi, als ontwerper van fraai Leerdam-glas en als de bouwmeester van het kolossale bankgebouw aan de Vijzelstraat in Amsterdam. 5c. Indien koper een product om welke reden dan ook niet wenst af te nemen, heeft hij het recht, na overleg, het product binnen 14 dagen na aflevering aan Scriptum Art te retourneren. Retourzendingen worden uitsluitend geaccepteerd indien het product zich in dezelfde staat bevindt als waarin het aan de koper verzonden is. Het risico en de kosten voor retourzendingen zijn voor rekening van koper.
6. De door Scriptum Art geleverde goederen blijven haar eigendom totdat alle vorderingen van Scriptum Art volledig zijn betaald. Het risico ter zake van de goederen gaat over op het moment van levering.
