Returns on books that are not as described are made if returned within 14 days of receipt. It is essential that customers e-mail or phone us to discuss the return prior to the return being posted. Returns on books that are as descibed but on receipt are not wanted by the customer may be allowed, contact us as soon as possible if you wish to return on this basis, the buyer will be responsible for the costs of returning the item(s).

Books listed are "hardback" unless "paperback" is specified. If books have a dustjacket it will be listed with its condition with the condition of the book itself. If there are questions about the condition of a book, feel free to inquire.

Le Flaneur prefers and strives to remain as a physical establishment rather than an online seller, and its loyalty lies with frequenters and chance visitors. Thus, in principle, books are cheaper in the shop, and a select and increasing part of the collection is not available for distance selling. Le Flaneur also recommends to buy local, physical, and loyal, since he believes every act including the act of buying (or not buying for that matter) is political which deserves consideration and reflection.

Books are thoroughly checked and depicted in as much detail as possible (thus the shorter the depiction, the better the book). Betaling dient binnen 14 dagen na dagtekening van de factuur plaats te vinden. Indien deze termijn niet in acht wordt genomen, zijn de daaruit voortvloeiende administratiekosten voor rekening van de koper.
Geleverde boeken blijven eigendom van de verkoper totdat volledige betaling heeft plaatsgevonden.
Het verzenden van de bestelde boeken is voor risico van de verkoper. Verkoper behoudt zich het recht voor, na overleg met de koper, de goederen verzekerd en/of aangetekend te verzenden. De hieruit voortvloeiende kosten worden doorberekend aan de koper.
Elke aankoop kan binnen 7 dagen na ontvangst, zonder opgaaf van reden, aan verkoper retour worden gezonden (een voorafgaande kennisgeving per e-mail of telefoon wordt op prijs gesteld), waarna restitutie van het aankoopbedrag (uitgezonderd de verzendkosten) binnen 30 dagen volgt.
Is de retourzending een gevolg van een onvolledige beschrijving, dan wordt het aankoopbedrag inclusief verzendkosten + retourport gerestitueerd. We now post only via DHL as weight for weight it is a very similar cost to recorded mail, but is fully tracked and much more reliable. Storende beschadigingen, aantekeningen, uitgebreide opdrachten etc. vermelden we doorgaans wel. Informeer bij twijfel naar de staat van het boek.

Verzenden Nederland

Brievenbuspost versturen we via PostNL.
Pakketpost versturen we standaard met DHL.
Andere verzendopties zijn mogelijk op aanvraag.
Voor alle verzendopties gelden de verzendvoorwaarden van het gekozen postbedrijf.
Mocht een verzending mislukken door toedoen of nalatigheid van de ontvanger (denk bijvoorbeeld aan het niet tijdig ophalen van een pakket bij een afhaalpunt) dan zijn voor een volgende verzendpoging opnieuw verzendkosten verschuldigd.


Verzenden buitenland

Bij verzending naar het buitenland kiezen we per geval de beste verzendmethode. Verzending met onder andere PostNL, DHL, Kiala en DPD is mogelijk. Kopers met een voorkeur voor een verzendbedrijf/methode kunnen die melden.

We brengen geen extra verpakkings- of administratiekosten in rekening.
