| [ENGLISH DESCRIPTION FOLLOWS] First edition of the French translation, revised under the author\'s supervision, by Joseph Lavallée, of this highly regarded travel account. The atlas includes 16 plates depicting views and natural history subjects, 12 pages of engraved music, and 1 folding map (cf. Monglond VI 729–730).Contemporary bindings in half blond calf over green vellum-tipped boards, smooth spines decorated with gilt tooling, yellow edges, for the three text volumes.Contemporary binding for the atlas in half green sheep with vellum tips, smooth spine decorated with triple gilt fillets, soft green paper-covered boards, marbled endpapers and pastedowns.Wormholes on title pages, scuffed boards, joints starting, some foxing to the text volumes; minor abrasions and some foxing to the atlas boards.Giuseppe Acerbi was the first Italian traveller to reach Lapland and the North Cape in 1799. He compiled an excellent general overview of Sweden and its northernmost regions, but above all, provided a thorough account of Finland, which had been little visited or documented by earlier travellers. Acerbi was accompanied by the Swedish colonel and skilled landscape artist Skioldebrand, whose drawings are reproduced in the atlas. *

- The Book of Common Prayer, and Administration of the Sacraments, and Other Rites and Ceremonies of the Church, According to the Use of the United Church of England and Ireland: Together with the Psalter or Psalms of David, Pointed As They Are to Be Sung or Said in Churches; and the Form and Manner of Making, Ordaining, and Consecrating of Bishops, Priests, and Deacons

London, Printed by George E. Eyre and William Spottiswoode , c1860. Leather. A small, handsomely bound book of common prayer, enclosed in a leather-bound chemise. A mid-19th century edition of this work, finely bound with a morocco spine and ivorine boards, edged with a lacquered brass trim, and decorated to the front board with pictorial gilt. Brass trim suggests a previous removal of a now absent clasp. All edges gilt, with moire silk end papers. Accompanied by a full calf chemise with a brass clasp, lined with cream silk. Bourgeois 32mo. to the bottom of the title page. A Book of Common Prayer and administration of the Sacraments, and other rites and ceremonies of the Church, according to the use of the United Church of England and Ireland. Together with the Psalter or Psalms of David, as they are to be sung or said in churches, and the form and manner of making, ordaining, and consecrating of Bishops, Priests, and Deacons.Undated, dated through copies held at the National Trust Libraries. In a quarter morocco and ivorine binding, with a full calf chemise. Externally, very smart, with just a little loss to the red colour to the front board. Gilt remains bright. Lacking brass clasp to the book. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean except for a scattering of spots to the first and last couple of pages. Chemise is sound, though a little rubbed, and leather is split to the front joint. Front hinge is reasonably firm. Losses and a split to the leather of the flap holding one side of the clasp. Leather which is attached to the clasp on this side is tender. The leather to the other flap appears very smart, but there are tears to the silk of the lining. The silk, which is a little soiled, is lifting to the edges of the lining in a couple of places, and may tear upon further handling. Very Good Indeed . Ill.: Not Stated. Very Good Indeed .
