Panshanger was a large country house in Hertfordshire, originally being built and remodeled by the Earls Cowper. Externally, generally smart. A small amount of loss to the head of the spines. Minor bumping to the extremities. Light rubbing to the spines. Extremities of the boards and spines are a little discoloured. Only a few small marks to the boards. Cracks to the joints of 1724. Larger marks to the boards of 1724, with a small patch of loss to the rear board. Light surface cracks to the spines. Rear hinge of 1722 and front hinge of 1724 strained but remains firm. Front endpaper of 1724 is detaching. Bookplate to the front paste downs. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are a little age-toned and generally clean with the occasional spot, a little heavier to the endpapers. Good . Ill.: None. Good .
