A very good book in a very good binding. ** "Sir Walter Armstrong (7 February 1850 Hawick, Roxburghshire – 8 August 1918 London) was a British art historian and author. Armstrong was born in 1850, was educated at Harrow and Exeter College, Oxford, and for some 10 years after 1880 was art critic to several newspapers, such as the Pall Mall Gazette, the Manchester Guardian, and the old Manchester Examiner. He made his mark in the art world, and was consulted by students and collectors, becoming an authority especially on Dutch 17th-century and English 18th-century painting. Several fine collections, of which that of Mr. S. Joseph, was one, were mainly formed under his advice. In 1892, he succeeded the late Henry Doyle as Director of the National Gallery of Ireland in Dublin, which his predecessor had reorganized and developed; and in this post Armstrong remained for over 20 years, his services recognized by a knighthood in 1899. During his time in Dublin he wrote many books, among which his stately volumes on Sir Joshua Reynolds, Gainsborough, and Raeburn were the chief, that held a position of authority for many years afterwards. § 4 Gewährleistung/Haftung; Untersuchungspflicht des Kunden

Der Anbieter handelt mit gebrauchten/antiquarischen Bücher, Tonträgern, Filmen etc., die auf Grund Ihres Alters Gebrauchsspuren aufweisen können, die im jeweiligen Verkaufspreis bereits angemessen mindernd berücksichtigt sind. Die Waren werden insofern ausschließlich in den in unserem jeweils aktuellen Online-Katalog angegebenen Ausführungen geliefert. Alle im Katalog angebotenen Werke sind - wenn nicht gesondert angegeben - vollständig und dem Alter entsprechend im allgemeinen gut erhalten. Auf kleinere Mängel des Erhaltungszustandes, wie Stempel oder Namen auf Titelblättern, geringe Beschädigungen des Einbandes sowie einzelne Anmerkungen oder einzelne Unterstreichungen, wird in der Regel nicht besonders hingewiesen.
Der Käufer hat die Ware auf Vollständigkeit, Transportschäden, offensichtliche Mängel, Beschaffenheit und deren Eigenschaften unverzüglich zu untersuchen. (§ 86 StGB) verkauft.
§ 6 Eigentumsvorbehalt (gemäß § 455 BGB)
1. Bei Verträgen mit Verbrauchern behält sich der Anbieter das Eigentum an der Ware (Vorbehaltsware) bis zum vollständigen Eingang aller Zahlungen aus dem Kaufvertrag vor.
2. Der Besteller ist immer Zahlungspflichtiger, auch wenn die Bestellung Namens und Auftrags anderer Personen erfolgt.

Nationally and at the county level the impact and significance of the wars can hardly be over-stated: the conflict involved our ancestors fighting one another, on and off, for a period of nine years; almost every part of Lancashire witnessed warfare of some kind at one time or another, and several towns in particular saw bloody sieges and at least one episode characterised as a massacre.Nationally the wars resulted in the execution of the king; in 1651 the Earl of Derby himself was executed in Bolton in large measure because he had taken a leading part in the so-called massacre in that town in 1644. In the early months of the civil wars many could barely distinguish what it was that divided people in 'this war without an enemy', as the royalist William Waller famously wrote; yet by the end of it parliament had abolished monarchy itself and created the only republic in over a millennium of England's history. Al onze boeken zijn in goede tweedehands staat, tenzij anders omschreven. Kleine onvolkomenheden (zoals naam op titelblad of kleine leessporen) worden niet altijd vermeld. Storende beschadigingen, aantekeningen, uitgebreide opdrachten etc. vermelden we doorgaans wel. Informeer bij twijfel naar de staat van het boek.
Verzenden Nederland
Brievenbuspost versturen we via PostNL.
Pakketpost versturen we standaard met DHL.
Andere verzendopties zijn mogelijk op aanvraag.
Voor alle verzendopties gelden de verzendvoorwaarden van het gekozen postbedrijf.
Mocht een verzending mislukken door toedoen of nalatigheid van de ontvanger (denk bijvoorbeeld aan het niet tijdig ophalen van een pakket bij een afhaalpunt) dan zijn voor een volgende verzendpoging opnieuw verzendkosten verschuldigd.
Verzenden buitenland
Bij verzending naar het buitenland kiezen we per geval de beste verzendmethode. Verzending met onder andere PostNL, DHL, Kiala en DPD is mogelijk. Kopers met een voorkeur voor een verzendbedrijf/methode kunnen die melden.
We brengen geen extra verpakkings- of administratiekosten in rekening.
