The postcard mentions their rotation on MTV, as well as their headlining the MTV 120 Minutes Tour in 1992 (with dates). GOOD condition. Crease to upper left corner. Minor edgewear. A handbill for a show featuring the band Funk Face, at the legendary music venue CBGB. The club opened in the 1970s and featured a steady lineup of up and coming punk bands out of New York (and elsewhere). The previous for those just escaping from whatever rock they were living under. No Place, Prairie Fire, presumed Publisher. Unbound. No place or date, circa 1975. Single sheet, legal sized 14 by 8 ½ inches. Printed on a single side only. A flyer promoting the politically active music group, Prairie Fire, and their concert at Macmillan Auditorium at 116 St. and Broadway. It was held on Saturday, April 5th, no year, but presumed 1975. Prairie Fire was a folk/rock band formed by Mat Callahan in the early 1970s. It was formed in part to provide a voice to the ideas and goals of the Revolutionary Union (Revolutionary Communist Party). Prairie Fire originally played covers of working songs, but wrote original material by 1975. They embarked on a 58 date tour in 1975, from which we believe this flyer came. VERY GOOD condition. Very light toning and minor curling and creasing at the corners. Very Good .

Vintage promotional sticker for the short-lived heavy metal band, Cycle Sluts From Hell, fronted by Queen Vixen, She-Fire of Ice, Honey One Percenter, and Venus Penis Crusher. They formed in 1986 and released one album in 1991, with their song, "I Wish you Were a Beer," being their most popular. The band disbanded in 1992. GOOD condition. Some toning and soiling. A flyer promoting the Sunday, February 27th, 1983 concert by King Sunny Ade at the Hollywood Palladium. King Sunny Ade is an internationally acclaimed African pop musician. Beginning in Lagos, Nigeria, Ade is known for his popularization of the Yoruba Juju style music. His 1982 album Juju Music was followed by a worldwide tour that established him as one of the most influential musicians in the world. The photo on this flyer was taken from the Juju Music album. GOOD condition. Some insect wear along the top edge, resulting in minor loss and three small holes. Minor wrinkling and creasing. Good .

A promotional piece for the experimental jazz group, Doctor Vincent Sakeeda's ATTACK Ensemble. It lists band members: Gary Hassay, Dave Smith, Bob Borso, Tom Bauer, and Donald Lehr. It also provides a summary of their take on the ensemble, "as a conceptual unit [that] strives to develop an intuitive musical language in order to maintain American jazz as a living, contemporary art form. Gary Hassay formed the group in 1979, exploring free (jazz) music and improvisation with it. GOOD+ condition. Minor toning. Light spotting to the rear blank page. Good .

A show flyer for what we presume to be a New York City band, The Dragon Mafia, advertising a show at the Peoples' Restaurant at Avenue B and 10th Street, playing both a Friday and Saturday show. The band photo is credited to EDO. It is possible, based on style and content, that this was taken by Bertoglio Edo. Edo worked in New York in the 1970s and 80s, directing a film on the New York No Wave scene that starred Jean-Michel Basquiat. But unfortunately we have no concrete evidence of this. GOOD condition. Horizontal and vertical fold creases present, with a large diagonal crease at the upper left. Minor wrinkling. Some doodling on the reverse. Good .
