The festival was founded in 1975 and continued through 1983. GOOD condition. Stored rolled thus curled. Minor foxing and spotting to the paper. A few dings and tiny creases along the edges. Good .

Art Against AIDS/Bureau NY, Publisher. Unbound. Presumed New York, circa 1990. Piece measures 6 ½ by 4 ½ inches. 33 out of a presumed 34 postcards present, seemingly missing the one by Robert Mapplethorpe. A unique presentation of art by artists donated to the Art Against AIDS group, who then created billboards and other large ads for public spaces. The art confronted the public with the AIDS virus, highlighting that it did not just affect the gay community. Gran Fury, Keith Haring, Cindy Sherman, the B-52s and many others contributed. The interiors of the fold out box contain and introduction to the traveling exhibition, as well as a statement on art, especially modern art and politics. Box in GOOD condition. MISSING the Mapplethorpe postcard (if issued). Box with scuffing, fraying and wear along its edges. Postcards in fine condition. Good .

From the collection of Alan Powell, an electronic media artist, and founding member of the Electron Movers. The collective started in 1974 (and ended around 1979) as a group of five artists: Laurie McDonald, Robert Jungels, Dorothy Jungels, Dennis Hlynsky and Alan Powell. Three other artists joined later on. As McDonald notes on her website, the group "Explored the intersections of many disciplines, including film/video, music, dance, visual arts, electrical and optical engineering, challenging established moving image narrative formats in their attempt to explore video as a new language system."
