He boldly inscribes and signs the title page in black fineline: "Dear Bill, / It was wonderful to meet you! / I love your analogy of the live/ / written (stage/page) dichotomy / to different nights of a play! / Very best wishes, / Seth Abramson." Recipient "Bill" is Bill Pauly (1942-2021), a poet especially known for haikus and influential, beloved long-time English professor at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. .
