Electron Movers Video Show. March 28, 8 Pm
No Place, No publisher. Unbound. No publisher, place or date. Glossy paper stock. 16 ½ by 13 inches. Broadside for a show by the Electron Movers, featuring a large photo of the group with an old flat bed truck transporting a giant box television. Letters lmcd on the lower right, which we presume indicates the photograph/art was created by Laurie McDonald. From the collection of Alan Powell, an electronic media artist, and founding member of the Electron Movers. The collective started in 1974 (and ended around 1979) as a group of five artists: Laurie McDonald, Robert Jungels, Dorothy Jungels, Dennis Hlynsky and Alan Powell. Three other artists joined later on. As McDonald notes on her website, the group "Explored the intersections of many disciplines, including film/video, music, dance, visual arts, electrical and optical engineering, challenging established moving image narrative formats in their attempt to explore video as a new language system." (See McDonald\'s website for previous quote). VERY GOOD+ condition. A hint of toning and wrinkling. Very Good .
