Also illustrated with monochrome illustrations throughout. Donald Duck was first introduced to the public in 1934, very quickly becoming an incredibly popular foil to Mickey Mouse.Gift inscription to the half-title, ownership inscription to the reverse. In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding with pictorial paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart. Light rubbing to the extremities has resulted in a little loss of paper. Minor bumping to the extremities. Light rubbing and a few minor marks to the boards. A little fading to the fore edge of the front board. Rear paste down has been repaired. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age-toned and generally clean with the occasional spot. Ink inscription to the recto and verso of the half-title. Small closed tear to the bottom edge of the half-title and front endpaper.
