London, British Parliament, 1709-1710. Leather. A collection of the original printed documents stating new acts in parliament, after the act of union, under the rule of Queen Anne. Includes "An act for granting an aid to Her Majesty, to be raised by a Land-Tax in Great Britain, for the service of the year one-thousand seven hundred and ten", "An act for employing the manufacturers by encouraging the consumption of raw silk and mohair Yarn", "An act for explaining and enlarging an act of the sixth year of Her Majesties reign, entitled, An Act for the Security of Her Majesties Person and Government", and "An act for the better security of rents, and to prevent frauds committed by tenants." With contemporary copperplate ink signature to the front pastedown, signed Mr Griffith June 29th 1710. In a decorative calf binding. Externally, a trifle rubbed, with wear to the spine, and lifting backstrip. Both hinges are tender. Internally, binding is tender in places, with some leaves working loose. Pages are generally bright with only the occasional spot or handling mark. Evidence of past worming to pages 9 through to 245. Fair . Ill.: None. Fair .
