This is a scarce pamphlet of How the Worcesters Saved the Day Gheluvelt 31 October 1914, printed for the Worcestershire County Council Stationary Department. This pamphlet gives an overviews of the Battle of Gheluvelt, where the Worcestershire Regiment at the Belgian village of Gheluvelt were all that stood between the Kaiser's army and the channel ports. Against the odds the Worcesters bravely defended Gheluvelt Chateau and the Germans retreated but 187 of the Worcesters were killed or wounded. With two folding maps.Collated, complete.
