A scarce volume of a catalogue of British antiquities from Alnwick Castle. This volume was printed for private distribution. Unusually clean apart from a tide mark to the head of the first twenty or so pages. Alnwick Castle is a castle and country house based in the countryside of Northumberland. The castle was built following the Norman conquest and the seat of the 12th Duke of Northumberland. The antiquities are listed from the collection of The Museum of British Antiquities in Alnwick Castle. With thirty three plates. Collated, complete. In half morocco binding. Externally, very smart with some minor marks to the boards and spine. Internally, firmly bound with bright pages with a tide mark to the top of the first twenty pages. Very Good . Ill.: Not Stated.
