Colville, an English medium and Spiritualist author. It reports to the verso of the front endpaper that the author died suddenly in San Francisco whilst this work was still in the proof stage.A scarce work on spiritualism. In a full cloth binding. Externally a trifle worn; spine is faded, with old library locations to the tail. Discolouration to the boards and spine; front board has a tidemark, and is bumped to the extremities. Partially removed bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally, binding is strained and exposed at the front hinge; binding is a little tender otherwise. Pages are a touch age-toned to the edges.
