Presenting many historical facts, showing items and comments upon a variety of subjects from old newspapers, often amusing and always interesting. In uniform half morocco bindings signed Blackwell, with marbled boards and endpapers, an attractive set not often found complete on the market. The present collection if comprised of the following titles: Curiosities of the Old Lottery; The Days of the Spinning-Wheel in New England; Literary Curiosities; Quaint and Curious Advertisements; New England Sunday; Some Strange and Curious Punishments.  In uniform half morocco Blackwell signed bindings, gilt to the top edge, marbled boards and endpapers. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear only, a minor rubbing to the spine of the odd volume, a touch of darkening to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean.
