Pale pink endpages (also with advertisements). Contains hosts of fascinating information. Lists occupations ('silversmith,' 'furnaceman,' 'checker maker,' 'tallyman,' 'lagerbeer,' just to name a few) along with general citizen directory information; detailed list of public schools; lists of different military assignments and rank (10th Regiment, 25th Regiment, Calvary, etc.); lists of newspapers, banks, and churches; a buisness listing section; and advertisements. The book previously belonged to James S. Bailey ('physician'!). VG-: The boards are detached from the leaves and from each other. The back cover has a portion of the spine still attached (about the lower 3/4ths), but the top portion of the spine is missing. The pages remain bound together. Smudges and small stains to the covers. Wear to the edges and corners. Fading to the gilt text. Tanning to the pages. Previous owner's name and address on each textblock.
