Lovejoy, Margot (artist) et al. - The Artist and the Machine Exhibition Flyer and Signed Artist Agreement

Lovejoy, Margot (artist) et al., The Artist and the Machine Exhibition Flyer and Signed Artist Agreement
Port Washington, NY, The Graphic Eye Gallery, Publisher, 1982. Unbound. Single 8 ½ by 11 inch yellow sheet and two 8 ½ by 11 inch pieces of paper, stapled together. A flyer for a February 3 through March 7, 1982 exhibition at the Graphic Eye Gallery featuring artwork created on machines by artists. This includes work by Margot Lovejoy, who used a Xerox machine and computer to create her work. Accompanying this flyer is a two page exhibition agreement between the gallery and the artist, signed by Margot Lovejoy. Also included is work by Charlotte Brown done on a 3M copier; Darcy Gerbarg on a computer; Agnes Mills on a Xerox; and Kenneth Rubin on a computer. It appears this exhibition was well reviewed by the New York Times, and may have even created a little controversy as to whether art created on Xerox machines or other similar machines was indeed art. GOOD+ condition. Two horizontal fold creases to the flyer. Some offsetting, toning, creasing and a small tear, to the agreement, all along the fore edge. Good .
