A perfectly serviceable reference copy; nothing fancy, but complete and sturdy, marred by a torn-through hole in the rear panel. Edition not stated, but perhaps a First Greek edition, though in English (but for a Dedication in Greek at book's end). A fine and accessible reader in ancient Greece and ancient history up to just-post W.W.I.I. The author had an interesting career but died tragically by drowning just after marrying Elizabeth Boleman-Herring, his body being found having washed upon the shores of Salonika. Volume contains scholarly apparatus in the form of, e.g., notes, index, and bibliography. it has suffered since classical times.
