A very good later half calf binding. Later green calf spine and corners over the original green boards. Gilt image to front board: "Highgate Archway". Spine with five raised bands, gilt decorated compartments and red leather title labels. Later yellow endpapers. Light foxing to free-endpapers, otherwise clean text and illustrations throughout. VG. ** Samuel Taylor Coleridge, the renowned English poet and critic, lived in Highgate for the last 19 years of his life, from 1823 until his death in 1834. He resided at 3, The Grove, Highgate, with his friends the Gilmans. Coleridge is buried in the crypt of St. Michael's Church in Highgate.
