A few library markings inside, but text unmarked. Pages fully attached. Volume 63 of the ILLUSTRATED LONDON NEWS, containing issues from July 5 through December 27, 1873. Includes reporting on a visit to England by the Shah of Persia (Iran), the 1873 Vienna World's Fair, the Third Carlist War in Spain, and the Third Anglo-Ashanti War. Among the many fine engravings are a foldout map of Austria and the German Empire and a two-page spread depicting fierce battling lions. Measures approx. 16" x 11.75.
