Call number on spine; convent label and stamp inside. Cloth is quite faded, and spine is tanned. Front hinge slightly shaken, but binding still tight enough for reading purposes. Text clean except for small markings on a couple of pages. Text in French. A biography of St. Francois de Laval (1623-1708), the first bishop of the Diocese of Quebec. He was canonized by Pope Francis in 2014. This copy belonged to Archbishop John B. Purcell of Cincinnati (1800-1883), whose signature is on the title page. Fair .
