Boston, Houghton, Mifflin and Company, 1889. Leather. 8 vols. A complete set of eight hardcover books bound in 3/4 brown leather with marbled boards and endpapers. The top edges are gilt and there are five raised bands on each spine. Near-fine condition! The edges are lightly scuffed, and volumes II, IV, and VII have some very light rub marks on the spines. The covers are otherwise clean and sturdy. Interiors unmarked and binding secure across the set. Scarcely found in such nice condition! Illustrated with lots of black and white engravings. .
