Full leather with gilt decoration on the spine, spine label is missing and light wear at spine-ends, joints are cracked but covers are securely attached, light wear on corners. Bookplate on inside of front cover "Ex Libris Peter and Margery Morris", sound binding, clean pages. Dedication to Charles James Fox. Berington was a notably liberal member ofthe English Catholic community in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, possibly closer to the French clergy of the Enlightenment.
