Black title on blue boards which has some dulling to a portion of lower front and a small mark to spine else clean and unmarked with no wear. Internally there is light foxing to closed edges and endpapers else clean, tight and unmarked. Map endpapers. An interesting series of rambles in or adjacent to the Home Counties, first published in 1927, containing 19 walks each embellished with historical and local notes with some literary references. Includes an account of a murder at Radlett which a verse of a ballad by William Webb recalls 'They cut his throat from ear to ear, His brains they battered in, His name was Mr. William Weare, He dwelt in Lyon's Inn'.
