Two charming mid 19th century works bound in a single handsome calf binding.The first of these works is the 1750 third edition of 'Reflexions on the Sources of Incredulity with Regard to Religion' by Duncan Forbes, a philosophical-theological treatise about religious scepticism and unbelief. ESTC T109826.The second work is a vanishingly scarce single volume 1750 edition of the letters of Anthony Ashley Cooper, 3rd Earl of Shaftesbury, an English Whig politician, philosopher and writer, which were first published in 1721.
