Rug verbruind, langs de randen wat versleten. Phaidoon, ook wel Phaedo genoemd, is een serene dialoog van Plato over de laatste levensdag van Socrates, geschreven rond 390 v.Chr. De vertaling is van de classicus en dichter P.C. Boutens, die het boek geheel naar eigen inzicht zelf heeft uitgegeven. Het boek is zeer ruim bemeten: het zijwit en het staartwit is enorm ten opzichte van het compacte zetsel, dat slechts 15,5 x 9 cm meet. Rijkse 2.10.
