The collection was particularly strong on Dutch 19th century painting - Jozef Israëls, Jacob Maris , Anton Mauve , Willem Maris , Bernardus Blommers, but contained also 7 Corot paintings and the finished pastel study for the famous Angelus painting by Millet as well.. .
